Application of Vegetated Slope Protection in the Bank Slopes of Liancheng Lock River in Jiangxi Province
Natural factors such as floods, rainfall, and changes in water levels can significantly affect the internal moisture content of bank slopes and cause slope surface erosion, potentially leading to slope instability. To address this, the present study uses the bank slope treatment of the Liancheng Lock River as a case study.By establishing a bank slope experimental model under rainfall conditions, the study analyzes the influence of vegetation planting on the shear strength parameters of the slope soil and the erosion of the slope surface. The results indicate that mixed vegetation planting can increase the cohesion of the surface soil layer of the bank slope and enhance the shear strength of the soil.Although vegetation planting may increase infiltration into the shallow soil layer and reduce deep infiltration into the slope body,it improves the stability of the slope.Additionally, vegetation planting can mitigate slope surface erosion.Compared with single-species planting, mixed planting can better improve the stability of the slope.
