Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for Monitoring and System Response(FMEA-MSR)is the new methodology in the New FMEA manual,published in 2019,focuses on risk assessment of mechatronic products under customer use conditions.This paper introduces the concept of"chain of events"and analyzes the monitoring system in an electric vehicle electronic control system,together with case studies,to help understand the relationship between Design Failure Mode Analysis(DFMEA)and FMEA-MSR in order to better maintain the safety of the system using this method.
