Lane neighborhood is the typical base unit of Shanghai's historical city,and also the implementation unit of urban land space redevelopment,protection and regeneration.It is located at the meso level that connects regulatory planning and project implementation.The regulatory planning administration at the neighborhood level is an important innovation work,which needs to expand the traditional management methods,and deal with the correlation between protection and regeneration.This article combines planning management with urban design management,and based on the planning and design practice of several lane neighborhoods,sorts out multi-dimensional management elements and sequences including current situation assessment,spatial scale,spatial structure,and spatial form.It is hoped that valuable ideas can be provided for the protection and control of similar neighborhoods.
