The reasonable design of demand curve in the capacity market mechanism can reduce price volatility,ensure the stable income of power generation enterprises,and ensure the adequacy of power generation capacity.This paper summarizes the representative capacity market demand curve in various countries,introduces the original design intention and basic principle of the demand curve,and summarizes the shape determination,key parameter design,development process and characteristics of the demand curve.Finally,the paper puts forward feasible suggestions on the demand curve formulation method and supporting mechanism to adapt to the actual development of China's capacity market.
