Epoxy casting insulator is a key component of gas insulated metal closed switch equipment.According to non-destructive testing requirement of epoxy casting insulator,X-ray inspection was applied to the production of epoxy casting insulator.X-ray inspection method of different types of epoxy casting insulators such as insulator,insulation rod and insulation table was analyzed,typical defect found in X-ray inspection was summarized,and improvement direction was put forward.Through the application of X-ray inspection,the quality control level of epoxy casting insulator can be improved.
