Shield machine is the important construction machinery in highway tunnel,railway tunnel and other underground projects.The type selection of the shield machine for a regional railway tunnel construction was analyzed,and the earth pressure balance shield machine was selected as the shield equipment of the project.According to the construction key and difficult points of the project,the cutter head tool,main drive,spiral conveyor and combined muck improvement system of the earth pressure balance shield machine were optimized.After comprehensive evaluation,the optimized earth pressure balance shield machine can adapt to the construction condition of the project and can meet the construction needs of the project.
