The development of fixed top shielding for experimental fast reactor was carried out, including structural design, packaging design, welding process, and on-site installation.Serpentine concrete with a cumulative thickness of 650 mm was utilized for shielding against neutron and high-temperature thermal radiation.A mineral slag wool insulating layer with thickness of 145 mm was incorporated to enhance thermal insulation.Addressing the modular structure of fixed top shielding, measures such as anti-deformation method and auxiliary cross beam were employed to mitigate effects from factors such as gravity load, installation load, and welding deformation. After on-site assembly, the maximum central deflection is approximately 8 mm,meeting the shielding requirement of experimental fast reactor in China.
