Global Narrative and Sinological Question Awareness
Since the early 1990s when the research on global history gained momentum in international academic circles, contemporary Sinology and China research fields have responded quickly, and engaged in this"overall"research with unique question awareness and narrative perspective, which has not only reconstructed people's understanding of the relationship between China and the world, but also provided a pivotal dimension to the panoramic study of global history. To present a systematic review of these continuous researches,it is necessary to decompose and refine them into two different perspectives, namely, the narrative of universalism dominated by western globalization, and the narrative of regionalism that is pan-Asia featured and centered on China. In view of this,we can see that although the latter constitutes a complementary relationship with the former,it testifies to the multiple positions and attitudes people hold on the relationship between globalization and China. On this basis,it is also necessary to make supplementary descriptions of and comments on some newly emerging extended studies.
