STUDY ON THE APPLICATION OF SHIKUMEN DECORATIVE PATTERNS IN URBAN FURNITURE DESIGN—TAKE SHANGHAI AS AN EXAMPLE
In order to create urban furniture with the characteristics of urban culture and in line with modern aesthetic needs.This paper takes the urban space and culture of Shanghai as the basis,takes the Shikumen decorative patterns as the research point,and focuses on the promotion of regional culture to the re-creation of urban furniture,and analyzes the development of Shikumen decorative patterns,graphic characteristics,material construction and other factors.Through collecting and organizing the samples of decorative patterns,the most valuable patterns were selected,and the essence of the patterns were simplified and evolved to be applied to the design of urban furniture.The study can make the outdoor urban furniture of Shikumen style district unified with the historical architecture,and realize the cultural continuity of Shikumen historical style district in terms of visual perception,while continuing the urban culture of Shanghai,highlighting the characteristics of the city,and providing new ideas for urban furniture design in Shanghai.
