In order to meet the diversified demands of makers and optimize the traditional maker space in colleges and universities,this paper proposes a research on the design strategy of maker space in colleges and universities based on embodied cognition theory.Firstly,the literature metrology method of Citespace was used to review the development status and hot spots of the maker space in domestic universities in the past five years.Secondly,it systematically analyzes the theory of embodied cognition and its relevance to the efficient maker space.Once again,the design principles of university maker space under the theory of embodied cognition are stated one by one.Finally,taking the design of maker space in Guangzhou University as a practical case,this paper puts forward the spatial design strategies of focusing spatial theme,elastic functional layout,immersive scene construction and interactive experience creation,and verifies the feasibility of the application of embodied theory in the design of maker space in universities.This study provides reference strategies for the design of maker Spaces in universities.
