MEANING OF SECOND-ORDER UNDERSTANDING WITH THE SEMANTIC TURN IN DESIGN
Stakeholders normally have their own unique understanding of artifacts,for making sure that designers could be able to understand these understandings,it is necessary to integrate second-order understanding into the thinking of designers.The research on second-order understanding in design needs the support of the semantic turn,and also needs the support of semantics.Based on human-centered design and the semantic turn of design,this paper studies second-order understanding through the understanding of stakeholders for each other and artifacts,obtains the way of realizing second-order understanding in design,further discusses the meaning of second-order understanding for design in some dimensions.
