INNOVATIVE DESIGN AND APPLICATION OF PORTUGUESE CERAMIC TILE PATTERNS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SHAPE GRAMMAR
To innovate the design of Portuguese style ceramic tiles and create cultural and creative products with more urban regional and cultural connotations,preserve the beauty of pattern art,promote cultural inheritance,and enhance the economic value of cultural and creative products.The article uses literature research to study Portuguese style ceramic tile paintings in Macao,summarizing their pattern characteristics,composition forms,and color characteristics.Using shape grammar to extract core elements,generate basic graphic units,evolve new patterns based on generative and derivative rules,and apply them to the design of cultural and creative products in Macao.Obtain innovative cultural and creative products.Preliminary verification of the feasibility of shape grammar in innovative design of Portuguese ceramic tile patterns,providing new ideas for the innovative design application of traditional patterns.
