DESIGN STRATEGIES FOR THE NORMALIZATION OF HOUSEHOLD EMERGENCY PRODUCTS
The design strategy for the normalization of household emergency products is centered on the family unit. While clarifying the obstacles to normalization and the direction of cracking them down,we have summarized the two principles of"valuing survival"and"preventing diseases"in the design of household emergency products. On this basis,we propose corresponding design strategies from the basic attributes of the products,including"multi-functionality"for switching functions between daily life and disaster,"mutual harmony between the product and the environment"for conformity orientation in the household environment, and"interaction awareness"for the relationship between human's mental model and behavioral model. The design concepts and countermeasures of how to"normalize"household emergency products are discussed from the perspective of tools, symbols and interactive attributes.
