PRACTICAL RESEARCH ON DYNAMIC CHARACTER DESIGN FOR MUSEUMS USING LIVE2D
This study aims to explore the use of Live2D technology as a new design approach to further enhance the expressiveness and impact of two-dimensional image design. It seeks to find the feasibility of creating novel dynamic images for museums, providing dynamic image design that adapts to modern multi-media communication channels.Using Live2D technology as the core, this approach explores the cultural heritage and development perspective, combining on-site museum research and artifact design transformation to broaden the application of museum image design within the museum.Traditional 2D artwork is transformed through 2D modeling to enhance the mobility and realism of the two-dimensional images, integrating semiotic meanings. The dynamic image design practice is exemplified by the"Yachou Yue"from Shandong Museum.Focusing on museum artifacts as prototypes, the study transitions from flat design drawings to 2D modeling, transforming museum artifacts into character images. The dynamic museum images designed based on Live2D technology add attraction and immersion to the viewing process. This study promotes the positive development of museum images based on artifacts, enriches interactive forms with the audience, and helps achieve creative transformation and innovative development of collections. It provides a new reference form for diversified and innovative image design for the Shandong Museum and other cultural institutions.
