DESIGN SUPPORT STRATEGIES FOR MULTIMODAL INTERVENTIONS IN GERIATRIC LANGUAGE DISORDERS
Language disorders have adverse effects on elderly patients and their families, underscoring the necessity of intervention for both treatment and social integration. As the physiological functions of the elderly decline, employing multi-channel sensory compensation becomes vital for their diagnosis and treatment.Design methodologies offer crucial support for multi-modal intervention and significantly contribute throughout the entire speech rehabilitation process, encompassing prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment,as well as rehabilitation evaluation. This article provides a comprehensive review of design intervention research related to the treatment of speech disorders in the elderly, both domestically and internationally. It offers a clear understanding of the characteristics and principles of prevalent intervention and treatment methods, proposing design support strategies and recommendations from the perspectives of aging and accessibility.Additionally,it conducts an insightful analysis of existing issues in current intervention approaches and advocates for process optimization through a service design lens.Ultimately, this work serves as a valuable reference for research and practical application in the diagnosis, treatment, and intervention of elderly language disorders worldwide.
