RESEARCH ON THE DESIGN OF DAILY HEALTH MANAGEMENT APP FOR ELDERLY USERS BASED ON MENTAL MODEL-KJ METHOD
By analyzing the deficiencies in the age-friendly and inclusive design of existing health management platforms,we extracted weak factors by incorporating user experience elements.Focusing on daily health management,we collected comprehensive mental information of elderly users through the dimensions of"execution"and"evaluation"behaviors, combined with the three levels of mental activities:"instinct,""decision-making,"and"emotion."Using affinity diagram clustering of interview content,we constructed a mental model of elderly users and proposed the design concept and practice of the"Elderly Dependable"App.Through eye-tracking experiments and questionnaire surveys, the"Elderly Dependable"App showed high indices in usability and user satisfaction, thereby validating the effectiveness of the design innovations.Collecting elderly user behavior information through the levels of mental activities helps improve the age-friendliness and inclusiveness of the App.This study not only enriches the design theory in the field of mobile health management but also provides a reference for future related research.
