RESEARCH ON THE APPLICATION OF RECURSIVE THEORY IN THE CURRICULUM SYSTEM OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
Industrial design education is undergoing profound changes in response to economic development and technological advancements. Its developmental trend is increasingly focused on interdisciplinary integration and the cultivation of innovative capabilities, gradually forming a systematic framework with distinctive disciplinary characteristics. To align with the new ideas, structures, and models of new engineering construction, and to cultivate designers with unique thinking and creative abilities, higher requirements are being placed on talent cultivation, teaching models, and curriculum systems.Recursive theory,as a powerful problem-solving framework, employs its unique principles of problem decomposition,self-similarity,and hierarchy to guide students in repeatedly utilizing recursive thinking throughout the process of concept generation, iterative scheme refinement, and evaluation and reflection on results. This approach gradually enhances students'learning efficiency, expands their thinking methods and knowledge systems, stimulates their enthusiasm and initiative for learning, and fosters systematic thinking and the ability to solve complex problems. This research contributes to the construction of a more rigorous and systematic curriculum design methodology, creating a discipline with distinctive academic characteristics and advantages in talent cultivation. It provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the interdisciplinary integration and innovative development of the design discipline.
