In order to broaden the inheritance and development path of Zhujin woodcarving,carry forward The Red Dowry culture,refine the decorative elements of Zhujin woodcarving of The red dowry and transform them into modern fashion design.Through field research and literature research,this paper explores the typical artistic characteristics and the cultural causes of Zhujin woodcarving of The Red Dowry,combs and summarizes from four aspects:color,pattern,modeling and process,and combines specific design examples to explore the application methods of activation and utilization in modern fashion design.The methods include:the retention of red gold color matching,the induction and reconstruction of pattern elements,the reference of modeling contour,the imitation of process and materials.The decorative features of Zhujin woodcarving of The Red Dowry are integrated into clothing products,so that the traditional craft can radiate new vitality in a new form,and at the same time show China's aesthetic purport in modern fashion.
