Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party and the state have placed special emphasis on the cultural heritage and protection in our country.The work of cultural heritage protection and inheritance in Guizhou has been exploring new development paths in sync with the rest of the country.The People's Government of Guizhou Province has designated 9 provincial historical and cultural blocks,including the Wenchang Pavilion area in Guiyang City,as provincial historical and cultural blocks.Therefore,the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural blocks in Guizhou Province are imperative.This paper starts from the perspective of design and unfolds under the horizon of feature integration,elaborating on the specific principles of sign design for historical and cultural blocks to enhance the dissemination of historical and cultural heritage and strengthen the expression of regional characteristics.At the same time,taking the Wenchang Pavilion area in Guiyang City as an example,this paper practices the design of a set of signs inspired by Wenchang Pavilion and its application in urban furniture,which greatly benefits the enhancement of local people's cultural identity and the establishment of cultural confidence.
