This paper explores the application of Lingnan garden elements in courtyard landscape design,using Debao Garden as a case study.It analyzes the four main elements of Lingnan gardens:functional layout,rock and water features,garden architecture,and plant landscapes,emphasizing the integration of practicality and artistry.Debao Garden,located in Panyu,Guangzhou,covers an area of 290 square meters.Through renovation and enhancement,the project retains the Lingnan style while optimizing both visual and ecological effects.In response to site-specific issues,strategies such as clearing debris,wall modifications,functional area planning,preserving natural features,and enriching plant diversity were proposed.After the renovation,the courtyard exhibits Lingnan garden characteristics,meets multifunctional requirements,and improves the quality of living.This study provides a reference for the application of Lingnan garden elements in modern design,achieving a fusion of traditional culture and contemporary aesthetics.
