In order to interpret the color characteristics of Xinshi Ancient Town and explore the unique charm of showcasing and continuing the culture of Jiangnan Water Town,this article adopts the method of on-site investigation.Taking Xinshi Ancient Town in Huzhou as an example,the NCS color picker and NCS international standard color card are used to extract and analyze the color characteristics of the exterior facade of Jiangnan Water Town buildings.From a scientific perspective,the gray tone color characteristics of Jiangnan Water Town are captured,and combined with the peaceful living atmosphere of Xinshi Ancient Town,the unique gray tone cultural and creative product design of Xinshi Ancient Town is carried out.This method provides new references for creating regional characteristics and related artistic creations,in order to inherit and promote traditional Chinese color culture,promote the development of Chinese color art,and inherit its profound heritage.
