THE AESTHETIC EXPLORATION AND DESIGN APPLICATION OF CAPRICORN POT WITH HUMAN HEAD IN LIAO DYNASTY
According to historical records,the artifacts of the Liao Dynasty had reached unprecedented maturity under the influence of foreign and Han cultures,and formed their own unique aesthetic characteristics."Capricorn"is a mythical beast of the water from ancient India.Since the introduction of the Capricorn pattern into China,its image has gone through a process of interpretation from simple imitation to independent innovation,and the application of anthropomorphic aesthetic characteristics also appeared in the Liao Dynasty.The unique shape of Capricorn artifacts with human heads in the Liao Dynasty is of high artistic value,reflecting the development pattern of the diversified and integrated Chinese culture.The article comprehensively analyzes the aesthetic characteristics of the Liao Dynasty Capricorn pot with human head,analyzes its anthropomorphic shape under the integration of nationalities,and extracts the elements for the design of clothing innovation and fusion through the method of literature research,the method of double evidence and the method of practical research.Through the practice in modern design,we interpret the application value of the Liao Dynasty Capricorn Pot and explore more creative space in art design.
