RESEARCH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FLOW THEORY ON THE DESIGN OF INDOOR CYCLING PLATFORM
From the perspective of flow theory, flow experience elements are used to help products better locate user needs and product elements to improve the user flow experience. The Flow PAT model was utilized to analyze the user's riding scene and behavioral experience, refine the flow experience elements of indoor cycling training products, and establish a mapping path between the cycling flow goal and user needs.Additionally, the Structural Equation Model(SEM)was employed for quantitative processing, screening, and extraction of flow elements to identify the core elements of the flow experience of cycling products. The core elements of the product and its design characteristics are confidently constructed using QFD(Quality Function Deployment). It proposes a methodology to position user experience elements and transform their design based on flow experience, and skillfully applies it to an innovative design of an indoor cycling platform. This practical research enhances the application of flow theory in design by integrating the SEM model and QFD to enrich the positioning of product elements and design transformation paths, resulting in a better flow experience for users.
