In order to explore a construction method to accelerate the soil consolidation and drainage efficiency of caisson foundation and its influence on the mechanical safety of caisson structure,based on the anchorage foundation of a suspension bridge anchorage in a river-crossing channel in Nanjing,the effect of sandbag replacement treatment combined with caisson diagonal pouring method in the construction process of flow-plastic silty clay foundation was studied.The results showed that the construction progress of caisson pouring and elevation could not be controlled by the drainage and consolidation process of silty clay,but mainly depended on the growth of the concrete strength of the caisson structure after the sandbag replacement treatment was adopted at the bottom of the caisson wall and partition wall.The replacement sandbag foundation treatment could improve the efficiency of consolidation and drainage,but it was easy to have uneven foundations,resulting in the mechanical safety of caisson structures.
