Integrated Modeling of Bridge-Expansion Joint and Life Assessment of Expansion Joint Under Random Traffic Flow
In order to evaluate the service life of expansion joint under vehicle load, the finite element model of bridge-expansion joint integrated analysis was established.Based on the traffic load data obtained by the WIM(weigh-in-motion)system,the vehicle type and quality were analyzed. The random traffic load was established by MATLAB,and the bridge-expansion joint displacement analysis system under random traffic flow was constructed. The longitudinal displacement response of the expansion joint under the action of sparse traffic flow, moderate traffic flow and dense traffic flow was studied, and the normal service life of the PTFE sliding support at each middle beam of the expansion joint was evaluated. The results show that, the sliding bearing near the middle beam of the main bridge is easy to be damaged, and its service life under sparse, moderate and dense traffic flow is 1.89,1.36 and 0.68 years respectively.
