Dyeing process and dyeing stability of cotton fabric with Madder
Cotton fabric is dyed with extracted madder dyes, and the optimum dyeing process and dyeing stability of madder dye on cotton fabric are analyze through color matching index. The optimum cotton dyeing with madder dye pre-mordant by aluminum potassium sulfate dodecahydrate is as follows:dye concentration 4%,temperature 90 ℃,pH value 12,and dyeing time 30 min.The dyeing performance of madder dyed cotton fabric decreases rapidly in activated sludge, the color changes from yellow to red,and the dyeing stability is poor. The color of madder dyed cotton fabric changes from yellow to red under simulated sunlight treatment, and the dyeing stability is better. The comprehensive analysis shows that madder dyes have good dyeing property for cotton fabric, but it should be avoided to use in activated sludge environment for a long time.
