Banning azo dyes will release carcinogenic aromatic amines which endanger human health. The detection of banned azo dyes in textiles is clearly required in in the national mandatory standards GB 18401-2010 and GB 31701-2015,and is also a key focus of export inspection. The detection accuracy of banned azo dyes in textiles is explored from four aspects:standard substances, recovery rate of pretreatment, separation of isomers, and determination of false positives.Suggestions are proposed to improve the accuracy of detecting banned azo dyes in textiles.
