Modified chitosan grafted linen fabric and its antibacterial properties
In order to solve the problem of poor water solubility and antibacterial property of chitosan,(3-carboxypropyl)triphenyl phosphonium bromide(TPPB)and cyanuric chloride(TCT)are used to double modify chitosan, and then applied to linen fabric.Infrared spectrum, particle size,Zeta potential,EDS,SEM and antibacterial tests are used to analysis and characterize. The results of single factor experiment show that the mass ratio of CS to TPPB is 1∶2,the mass ratio of CS to HOBt is 1∶1,the synthesizing of TPPB-CS is at 80 ℃for 10 h,the mass ratio of CS to TCT is 1∶1,the reaction of TPPB-CS-TCT is at 0 ℃ for 2 h.The antibacterial rate of the finished linen fabric against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli is 100%and 99.77%respectively,which shows good antibacterial properties.
