Preparation of nano-silica modified sound-absorbing knitted fabric and its properties
In order to investigate the effect of structure and nano-silica coating concentration on the performance of sound-absorbing knitted fabrics,90%cotton/10%acrylic blended yarn is used to prepare interlock and Puntodi Roma fabrics followed by coating with nano-silica agents of 1.0%,1.5%,and 2.0%respectively.The basic mechanical properties and sound absorption properties of fabric samples aretested. The results show that nano-silica coating can significantly improve the acoustic performance of knitted fabrics in the high frequency(above 2000 Hz).The acoustic performance is positively correlated with the concentration of nano-silica coating and the surface density of the interlock fabric, the nano-silica coating does not affect the tear strength of the fabric but reduces the breathability of the fabric.
