Analysis of thermal insulation performance of silk, down and their combined wadding
Twelve types of silk and down single-layer wadding with different raw material components and different gram weights,as well as six different silk/down combined wadding are used to test and analyze the thickness, fluffiness and thermal resistance of these 18 waddings. The results showed that under the same surface density, the thermal resistance of goose down wadding is better than that of duck down wadding, and there is no significant difference in thermal insulation performance between mulberry silk wadding and crushed silk wadding;under the same combination ratio, the thermal resistance of mulberry silk+goose down+mulberry silk wadding is better than that of crushed silk+duck down+crushed silk wadding. After theoretical superposition calculation of the measured thermal resistance of the multi-layer waddings and the thermal resistance of the single-layer waddings that make up the multi-layer waddings,it is found that the superposition thermal resistance of single-layer wadding is higher than that of multi-layer wadding.Compared with the silk and down single-layer wadding, the combined wadding have the fitness of silk and the warmth retention of down, and can be used in different scenarios by changing the filling ratio, which is a better material for warming wadding.
