Water repellent finishing of cotton fabric with biological wax
In order to develop environmentally friendly fluorine-free water repellent agents,a biological wax water repellent finishing agent is prepared from biological wax,and then is used to finish cotton fabric. The results show that the cotton fabric obtained after finishing has good water repellency with a contact angle of 145.16°,113.63° after 100 dry rubbings, and 121.49° after 50 washes, indicating that the water repellent effect has a certain degree of durability. After finishing, the breathability of cotton fabric decreases by 9%,the warp breaking strength decreases by 7.5%,and the weft reaking strength decreases by 10%.The water repellent finish has little effect on the breathability and breaking strength of cotton fabrics.
