Effect of modified cassava starch on the sizing properties of pure cotton yarn
Cotton sizing with pure cassava starch has the disadvantages of weak affinity, hard and brittle sizing film, insufficient resilience and poor adhesive force.Glutaraldehyde and glycerin are used to treat pure cassava starch sizing solution, and the properties of sizing films and the performances of sized yarns are tested and analyzed. The experimental results show that compared with pure cassava starch film and yam,the prepared modified cassava starch film and yam have significantly improved strength and wear resistance,as well as significantly improved adhesion and fuzziness indicators. The modified cassava starch slurry prepared by this method is environmentally friendly, and can improve the sizing performance of cotton yam and weaving efficiency.
