As a compulsory course in police academies,the law science course consolidates not only students'theoretical foundation but also legal application competency.It is an significant measure to cultivate high-quality police professionals if emphasis is also placed on the development of ideological and political education in the course.Accordingly,the development of ideological and political education in law science course in police academies should be based on the professional needs of police posts,and its goal orientation should be made clear.This paper suggests the countermeasures to improve the quality and efficiency of ideological and political development in law science in police academies by making an explorable analysis of ideological and political education in law science course,which aims to cultivate applied professionals with both ethics and law knowledge for the police cause.
