Research on On-the-job Ph.D Cultivation in Post-Graduate Education Management
By introducing the cultivation and working status of on-the-job doctor in graduate education administration department,this paper deeply analyzes the main reasons which induce the difficulties for on-the-job doctors to graduate:lack of knowledge on how to study for a doctorate,lack of motivation to study hard,no plan for major selection,serious shortage of management and guidance from mentors,absence of process management and pre-warning mechanism.This paper demonstrates the necessities of the staffs in graduate administration department to apply for doctor degree.And some suggestions are put forward for the development of graduate education in the new era,including the improvement of the ability of graduate education administration team and the malposition of career development.These findings will be helpful to strengthen the discipline construction of postgraduate education,to encourage the application for doctoral degree in education management,to perfect the system of approving on the staffs'register on examinations and improving promotion mechanism,to strengthen the whole process quality supervision and pre-warning function,to establish a diversified academic guidance system for doctoral students.
