Research on Operation Performance of Logistics Enterprises in China Based on Two-Stage DEA-Tobit Model
The first step to improve logistics efficiency which is the key to the operation of logistics enterprises in China is to clarify the influencing factors of logistics efficiency. This paper selects more than 60 listed logistics enterprises in China as the decision-making unit, collects the panel data from 2016 to 2018,uses the DEA Tobit two-stage model to calculate the DEA efficiency of the two processes, and uses Tobit regression to analyze the factors affecting operation performance. It is found that more than half of the logistics enterprises'investment in the two stages is ineffective, and the reason for the low overall operation efficiency of China's logistics enterprises is likely to lie in the operation of the second stage. The paper also empirically verifies the impact of regional economic development level, regional logistics turnover efficiency, highly educated employees and debt ratio on the operation line efficiency of logistics enterprises.According to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward strategic suggestions to optimize the resource allocation and improve the operation efficiency of China's logistics enterprises from the policy and enterprise levels.
