Based on the data of the listed companies in heavy pollution industry,the PSM-DID model is used to study the effect of the green M&A on enterprise economic performance and its mechanism.The re-sults show that both green M&A and non green M&A have positive effects on enterprise economic per-formance,and the effect of green M&A is stronger.Further research shows that both green M&A and non green M&A can have a positive impact on the economic performance of enterprises through efficiency enhancement channels and monopoly enhancement channels.There is no significant difference in the mo-nopoly enhancement effect between the two M&A modes,and the efficiency enhancement effect of green M&A is stronger than that of non green M&A.The research not only enriches the relevant achievements of green M&A,but also provides experience basis for the transformation of green development of enterpri-ses.
