Effect of Sintering Temperature on Microstructure and Properties of W-Cu Alloys
Using W and Cu powders as raw materials,W-Cu alloys were prepared via powder metallurgy and pres-sure-less sintering at 900,1 000,1 100 and 1 200 ℃,respectively.Through the microstructure analysis of the samples,as well as density and impact strength tests, effect of sintering temperature on microstructure and properties of W-Cu alloys were investigated. The results indicated that the porosity in the microstructure first decreased and then increased with the rise of the sintering temperature.W-Cu alloys with the best comprehensive performance could be obtained at a sintering temperature of 1 100 ℃,and its density and impact strength reaching 81.9%and 18.78 kJ/m2,respectively.
