Based on the principle of alkali production by sodium sulfate and ammonium bicarbonate, the effects of key factors such as initial concentration of sodium sulfate, reaction time and molar ratio of reactants on the purity of sodi-um carbonate and the conversion rate of sodium sulfate were studied. The residual mother liquor was subjected to salt sep-aration treatment by evaporation concentration, and the effects of sulfuric acid, concentration ratio and cooling temperature on the mass fraction of ammonium sulfate in the obtained salt were explored. The optimal condition parameters for alkali preparation are as follows:the reaction time is 1 h,the initial concentration of sodium sulfate solution is about 330 g/L,and the molar ratio of sodium sulfate to ammonium bicarbonate is about 1∶1.Under above conditions, the mass fraction of solid sodium carbonate is higher than 90%.After evaporation and concentration of the mother liquor, ammonium sulfate and sodium sulfate are separated out in the form of double salt, and the content of ammonium sulfate can reach 85%.Adding sulfuric acid, increasing the concentration ratio and reducing the cooling temperature will reduce the mass fraction of ammonium sulfate in the double salt.
