Determination of Methanol Content in Windshield Cleaning Fluid by Mid-infrared Spectroscopy
In this paper,a mid-infrared spectrometer was used to collect infrared spectral data of windshield cleaning fluid with different methanol contents(volume fractions).Using regression analysis,a linear regression analysis prediction model between infrared transmittance and methanol content was established and tested. The results showed that the linear relationship between infrared transmittance and methanol content was good, with a multiple correlation coefficient R2 of 0.997.Both F-test and t-test indicated that infrared transmittance had a significant impact on methanol content. In addi-tion,the model prediction and accuracy analysis of the linear regression analysis model were carried out,and the predic-tion results were within the 95%confidence interval. This method is fast,convenient,low-cost,and environmentally friendly, and can be used for real-time detection of methanol content in windshield cleaning fluid in production sites to achieve the purpose of monitoring the odor status of windshield cleaning fluid.
