Preparation and Performance Characterization of Ultrafine Spherical Silicon Micro Powder
This article uses sodium silicate, sulfuric acid, ammonia water, etc.as the main raw materials, polyethylene glycol(PE-2000)as the surfactant, and ethyl acetate as the precipitant to prepare spherical silica micro powder. The ef-fects of sodium silicate concentration, ethyl acetate addition amount and reaction temperature on the precipitation time of silicon micro powder were investigated. The experimental results show that when the concentration of sodium silicate is 0.5mol/L,the amount of ethyl acetate added is 8.0%,and the reaction temperature is 70 ℃,the spherical silica powder prepared has excellent performance. The particle size of the spherical silica follows a normal distribution, with a D50 of 549 nm and 90%of the particles having a partical size less than 1 μm.The structure and morphology of the sample were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and scanning electron mi-croscopy(SEM).The results show that the prepared sample is amorphous silica with minimal aggregation, smoother particle surface and higher spheroidization rate.
