Preparation and Modification of Graphite Negative Electrode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries
A modified graphite negative electrode material was prepared by coating the core with phenolic resin using natural graphite powder and asphalt powder as raw materials. The structure and morphology of the sample were character-ized by using laser particle size analyzer,X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, etc. The results showed that the surface of the prepared natural graphite was coated with phenolic resin, and the coating effect was good. The graphite crystal structure was better and the crystallinity was higher. The modified graphite negative electrode material obtained had a D50 of about 11.9 μm,a sharp and narrow particle size distribution peak, and good particle distribution.A button type battery was prepared using this negative electrode material and its electrical performance and cyclic charge-discharge performance were tested. The first discharge specific capacity and coulombic efficiency were 768 mAh/g and 64.06%,re-spectively.During the 30 cycles of charge and discharge, the button type battery discharged stably and could effectively supply stable current to the electrical appliances, demonstrating stable comprehensive electrochemical performance.
