A Discussion on the Drift of Mercury Fluorescence Values in Environmental Sample Analysis by Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry
Through experiments and research,it is found that the drift of mercury fluorescence values in atomic fluorescence spectrometry can be relieved by wiping off contaminated mercury on laboratory vessels and avoiding light diffuse reflection to happen. As the contaminated mercury may slowly be adhered to instrumental pipeline resulting in an enhancement of mercury fluorescence values, immersion in strong reducing agent stannous chloride for half an hour can completely and effectively eliminate the contaminated mercury. On account of the light diffuse reflection may magnify the fluctuation of mercury signals to give rise to poor precision of the mercury fluorescence values, adjusting the atomizer to 13 cm in height can effectively avoid such interference.
