A Comparison among the Determination of Oil in Water by Different Optical Analysis Methods
The use of ultraviolet-visible,infrared and fluorescence spectrophotometers has shown that the way of shaking to break the emulsion can avoid the interference caused by adding ethanol or other demulsifying solvents so as to improve the analytical efficiency and data accuracy of batch samples.By comparing the conical flask shaking and magnesium silicate adsorption column to extract animal and vegetable oils,it is concluded that the former one results in lower standard deviation and indicates to be more effective.Using lye to refine tetrachloroethylene can be applied to emergency monitoring of petroleum and animal/vegetable oils in ambient water samples with satisfactory repeatability and accuracy.
