Autonomy of Social Work Institutions and Participation in Professional Education in Universities
The cultivation of professional social workers in universities cannot meet the needs of social development. It is necessary to establish a cooperative education mechanism between them,so as to guide social work institutions to participate in social work education in university. This article analyzes factors that influence the involvement of organizations in talent cultivation based on data from the"2019 China Social Work Landscape Survey(CSWLS)".The study found that variables such as whether the chairman of an organization has teaching experience in universities, the number of individuals receiving education in social work within the organization, the duration of its establishment, and its economic condition have an impact on university involvement in talent cultivation.Although social work institutions have gained more autonomy, they have not yet changed the fundamental pattern established by education in their interaction with universities.Universities still have advantages in mobilizing participation from the social work industry for education. In establishing a community where universities and industries jointly participate in professional education for social work, universities should continue to play a leading role.
