Indigenous Development,Main Topics,and Future Prospects of Social Work Research in the Field of Disability in China:A Scoping Review
With the rapid development of social work research on disability,it is necessary to review the current status,main topics,and future prospects in this field.This study is a scoping review that identified 440 articles from the CNKI database to analyze the publication years,types of impairments,distribution across areas,research methods,and keywords.The results reveal the following characteristics:uneven distribution of research across various regions,insufficient empirical and practice research;the foundational knowledge is primarily influenced by generic social work knowledge and has not yet been effectively integrated with disability theory;research themes closely focus on welfare policies,social organizations,service delivery,employment,and family,following national policies.The paper argues that future research needs to adopt diverse research paradigms,focus more on specific issues in disability practice,effectively integrate generic social work knowledge and disability theories,and respond to the service needs arising from disabilities.
