In 2023,important educational strategies and practices,such as accelerating China's establishment as a leading country in education by constructing a high-quality education system and comprehensively promoting Chinese-style educational modernization,have provided a wealth of research topics for the study of educational governance in China.In turn,the field of educational governance research in China has produced a series of rich,focused academic achievements in response to the propositions of the Chinese education reform and development era.A 2023 educational governance literature review conducted in the theory-practice analytical framework revealed a wealth of scholarly outcomes.Practical educational governance research has encompassed multifaceted dimensions including governance at various educational levels and of various types,regional spatial perspectives on educational governance,and the principles,methods,and resource guarantees of educational governance.Concurrently,theoretical educational governance research has engaged with discussions on the educational governance concept,the establishment of a discipline system for educational governance research,and the development of an autonomous knowledge system within the field.Such research has effectively achieved both theoretical innovation and empirical summarization.As a comprehensive panoramic scan of the problem domain within educational governance research in China for the year 2023,this paper evaluates the key research areas and trending topics and examines potential future directions to identify foci and academic growth points towards further promoting the deepening and progress of educational governance research in China and bolstering the modernization of China's educational governance system and capacity through academic strength.
