In realizing agricultural and rural modernization,the sustained growth of farmers'income remains the central task.Rural innovation and entrepreneurship have created new employment opportunities for farmers and expanded their channels for increasing income.This study was based on 2020 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data,in which rural-innovation and entrepreneurship data was matched by province.Multiple-regression estimation,quantile-regression estimation,and the instrumental-variable method,among other tools,were used to analyze empirically the impact of rural innovation and entrepreneurship on farmers'income.The research found that rural innovation and entrepreneurship significantly promoted the growth of farmers'income and found a linear relationship that is similar to the"rising tide"effect on the income increases of farmers from different income groups.Rural innovation and entrepreneurship also had a differentiated impact on farmers'income structure.Study findings suggests that we should continue to promote the development of rural innovation and entrepreneurship,improve the ecological environment for rural innovation and entrepreneurship,formulate differentiated strategies for rural innovation and entrepreneurship,and strengthen the effective connection between social networks and financial-service resources and rural innovation and entrepreneurship.
