Application of domestic ultrasonic Lamb wave logging tool in casing recovery
When the oil and gas field is in the end of production, the casing that is not consolidated by cement will be recovered in order to save costs. In order to determine the initial depth of the recovered casing,it is necessary to measure the distribution of cement after the casing. In the past, foreign logging tools were often used for operations, which led to high costs. In recent years,COSL has launched an ultrasonic Lamb wave imaging logging tool(UCCS)with completely independent intellectual property rights. Its successful operation in the East China Sea region for the first time has helped oil companies judge the distribution of cement sheath behind the casing, further guiding casing cutting operations.
