Determination of Permanganate Index in Drinking Water by Continuous Flow Analysis
The permanganate index is one of the important indexes that reflect the oxidation ability of organic matter and the degree of water pollution in water bodies. This article introduces the use of continuous flow analysis technology to measure the permanganate index in drinking water, and explains the principle, reagent, and instrument parameter indicators of this method. The correlation coefficient of the calibration curve obtained through experiments is 0.9996,the detection limit of the method is 0.03mg/L,and the precision of the method is between 2.0%and 2.7%.Compared with the national standard potassium permanganate titration, this method has a lower detection limit,a simpler and faster operation, and is suitable for the analysis of large batches of water samples, meeting the requirements for the determination of permanganate index in drinking water.
