Technology for Improving the Quality and Efficiency of Rotary Wall Coring in Bohai Oilfield
The core is crucial for reservoir evaluation.Generally speaking,in the Bohai Oilfield,the rotary sidewall coring is used for the Paleogene,Mesozoic,Paleozoic,and Archean strata.In the actual process of rotary sidewall coring,there are significant differences in the yield and efficiency of rotary coring due to differences in lithology,homogeneity,compressive strength,and other factors of the formation.Under the conditions of sedimentary,metamorphic,and igneous rocks in the same wellbore,the traditional mechanical coring method based on the order of wall core design points often has low yield and is prone to"plugging".This article evaluates the rock lithology,compressive strength,and homogeneity,selects suitable rotary coring instruments,formulates a reasonable coring operation plan,improves the yield and efficiency of rotary sidewall coring,and has important guidance and reference significance for later rotary sidewall coring operations.
